What To Make Of It All?
By: Chris Paraskevas | January 7th, 2009Well, barely a few months after becoming AEK’s president and seemingly ending the administrative uncertainty surrounding the club, it appears Giorgios Kintis has himself resigned as head of the Enosis.
The economist was supposed to bring stability to the Greek giants, who have had anything but that in an administrative capacity over the past few years, with their weak financial standing and debts well documented.
Kintis seemed the perfect appointment but according to reports, has himself become frustrated with the financial position of the club (in a recent radio interview, former president Demis Nikolaidis claimed the club’s yearly debts stood at around 8 million euro).
He does seem to have the right idea however, apparently asking for financial injection or exterior investment – something that the club will surely now need to look for.
Whether these reports have any legitimate weight behind them remains to be seen (the fact that he resigned through en email leaves yours truly skeptical) but what is obvious is that AEK still don’t have a leader – and need one desperately.

ela re, as much as I support you through these tough times (arguably stretching as far back as AEK’s last title win), where’s the love for my article up on the Greece Blog about Mr. Kintis’ potential departure: http://greece.theoffside.com/aek-athens-fc/kintis-throws-in-the-towel-as-aek-president.html
… it even has a nice picture!

Woops! Missed it
That doesn’t seem like a bad cake, to be honest…sliced to pieces…looks a bit like Olympiakos’ Champions League campaign this season
