Memo to Bajevic: Send fruit basket to Rafa Benitez

By: Chris Paraskevas | August 31st, 2009

Sotiris Kyrgiakos might have been something of a steal for Liverpool at a rather paltry £2-or-so million – and some of that will most certainly have to go towards a lavish fruit basket (not that his stomach needs expanding) for Rafa Benitez.

For the Spaniard appears to have blessed AEK with one of the most exciting players in the Greek Super League in Hungarian prodigy Krisztian Nemeth, who made an immediate impact on debut for the Athenians in their season-starting win at Atromitos.

Coming off the bench in the 29th minute, he linked up encouragingly with goal-scorer Ismael Blanco in what was an otherwise poor performance by the Athenians, who are clearly still in need of reinforcements in defence.

Neither Daniel Majstorovic nor Geraldo Alves inspire confidence in the wake of Kyrgiakos’ departure, though the imminent arrival of Aris and BOSNIA******!!!!!! centre-back Sanel Jahic will hopefully go some way to bringing quality to central defence.

It is an area that Bajevic appears to be desperate to address before the close of the transfer window and based on some of the highlights below (note the complete absence of basic defensive principles), rightly so:

With his huge arse, that dribbling style and the outrageous flair he reminds me of a young Robbie Fowler. Bang them in this season Kristian and we’ll see if we can’t find you a spot in our first team squad next term. All the best this season from Merseyside AEK!

Real Red is an illiterate uneducated scouser, and we’re truly sorry you have been subject to his appalling english.
I on the other hand are what you call a literate educated scouser who supports the team with class on Merseyside..Everton Football Club, club motto: Nil Satis Nisi Optimum.. (Liverpool FC motto: The Reds)..says it all really…. We hope to see many AEK fans at Goodison Park, have a safe journey…
